    We welcome all of you into the counselling space; including your mind, emotions, bodies, beliefs, values and recognize that our profession has not always been accepting of diverse identities.

  • Online and In-Person sessions are available. Please note that virtual / phone sessions are only available to individuals located in Alberta.

    ACCESS 24/7 (AHS)

    Access 24 / 7 provides a range of urgent and non-urgent addiction and mental health services including service navigation, screening, assessment, referral, consultation, crisis intervention, outreach and short term stabilization.

    Distress Line (CMHA)

    The Distress Line provides confidential, non-judgmental and short-term crisis intervention, emotional support and resources to people in crisis or distress. We also support family, friends and caregivers of people in crisis.

    Mental Health Helpline (AHS)

    Provides toll-free, 24 / 7 telephone service, which offers help for mental health concerns for Albertans.

    Low Cost Counselling

    Momentum Walk-In Counselling

    Momentum is a mental health counselling agency, supporting clients who would otherwise be unable to access counselling because of long wait lists or financial barriers. We are a non profit organization that is staffed by a team of volunteer, Registered Health Professionals who collaborate to provide clients with Solution Focused Therapy.

    Drop In YEG

    Our drop-in psychological counselling service is provided by Intern Therapists who are completing their Masters or PhD in therapy or other counselling areas. In addition to the extensive individual and group supervision they receive, we also use a team approach so that you can benefit from many perspectives to help you make the change you desire.

    YWCA Edmonton

    Our doors are open to anyone. Our clients are typically women with lower incomes who are suffering from trauma and are often in crisis, but we offer support to anyone in need.  We’ll never turn you away, even if you can’t afford to pay. Our affordable services ensure everyone, especially those who are most vulnerable, receive quality care.  We’re here for you as long as you need. We’re one of only a handful of agencies in Edmonton that offer ongoing support, with no limit to the amount of times clients can access our services.

Payment, Cost & Insurance

  • Direct billing may be available but varies per practitioner. Please refer to individual profiles for accepted providers. Sunlife does not allow direct-billing. Receipts can be provided for reimbursement if direct-billing is not available. We recommend checking with the insurer to ensure services are covered.

  • Sessions range from $160 - $275, please refer to individual profiles for rates.

  • We accept e-transfer, Visa, Amex and Mastercard. Debit is accepted in person.

  • We value and strive to make mental health accessible and offer sliding scale rates if/or as needed. Rate adjustments are to be discussed with individual practitioners. If we have a practicum student pay what you can may be available (max $75.00 per session).

Booking & Waitlist

  • Practitioners accepting new clients are listed under Free Phone Consultation on the book site. Please go to the booking page here for availability. If this is your first session please book directly with the practitioner of your choice for a 15-minute consultation.

  • Yes, anyone not offering free phone consultations are our booking site has their own waitlist for new clients, please connect with them directly for timelines and more information.

  • Yes, on the Jane booking app you can put yourself on a waitlist. Please note that this waitlist is only available to existing/current clients.

Location, Parking & Accessibility

  • Our practice is located in West Edmonton at 10026 164 Street, Edmonton, AB T5P 4Y3 and is accessible from multiple bus routes, with free parking available as well.​

  • There is ample free parking at the office.

    Accessibility:

    Please note there is a curb ramp at the back of the building for the best barrier free access.

    Some of our office spaces are located on our second floor, which is only accessible by a flight of stairs. However, a main floor office and washroom are available for all if needed.
