Authentic, Accessible and Joyful Counselling Services in Edmonton

Ig•nite: To set in motion and begin to glow. 

Ignite Counselling & Wellness began in 2016 to create a counselling hub for those who have been unwelcome in traditional counselling settings. We are built on a strong foundation of feminist counselling principles that centre your identity, autonomy, and lived experience and prioritizes consent, transparency and an authentic client-counsellor relationship.

Who we serve:

  • Individuals, couples, families, teens (16+) and gender diverse children.

  • Folks seeking trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, intersectional care.

  • Members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and those looking for gender affirming care.

  • Indigenous folks searching for non-insured health benefit (NIHB) covered therapy. We have 5 registered NIHB providers.

    We offer accessible options: In-person (Edmonton & Calgary) and virtual appointments (Alberta wide), sliding scale fee options, and flexible scheduling (evenings and weekends).

About the Collective

Ignite Counselling & Wellness Services is a collective of registered mental health providers connected by the shared values of authenticity, accessibility, and joy. We are working to create accessible mental health care where all humans feel seen, heard, and loved.
